MIGA Reaches out with Social Networking Tools
MIGA is excited to introduce a new set of social networking tools that will provide up-to-date commentary and news on the agency’s work as well as the fast-changing world of foreign direct investment (FDI) and political risk insurance (PRI).
The role of PRI in supporting lasting cross-border investment is often not well understood. To help engage the investment community and others in a broader discussion on this topic, MIGA is using social networking tools such as YouTube, Flickr, Twitter, and blogs. Through sharing videos and photos on investments supported by MIGA, the agency hopes to increase external understanding of its own operations and how PRI can help good projects come to fruition and contribute to a positive development impact in its developing member countries.
MIGA’s blog is a forum for the agency’s experts to discuss MIGA’s products and services, the agency’s work in specific countries or sectors, topics specific to the PRI industry, FDI trends, or other issues of the day. We hope this blog will help bring you closer to the experiences and insights of MIGA staff, clients, and people in the communities where MIGA is supporting investments.
These new tools offer you the opportunity to have a voice too. Whether it is to offer new ideas and perspectives, discuss specific projects underwritten by MIGA, or just be connected to the PRI community – MIGA’s social networking tools can help you do all of this.
