Head of World Bank Group’s MIGA Visits Kuwait

Washington DC, Kuwait; June 20, 2014 – Keiko Honda, Executive Vice President of the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA)—the political risk insurance and credit enhancement arm of the World Bank Group—visited Kuwait on June 18-19. The purpose of the visit was to identify areas where MIGA can assist the Kuwaiti investment community with outward opportunities.

During her visit, Honda met with government representatives, banks, and private sector entities to share knowledge on investment prospects and MIGA’s risk-mitigation instruments.

“The Kuwaiti investment community has been active in a number of regions,” said Honda. “We are here to say we can support investors, private equity funds, and banks so that they can more confidently enter challenging environments and provide a powerful example for others to follow."
