Washington, Kuala Lumpur, October 20, 2014 – Keiko Honda, Executive Vice President and CEO of the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA)—the political risk insurance and credit enhancement arm of the World Bank Group—will hold meetings in Kuala Lumpur this week. Her first visit as head of MIGA underscores the agency’s support to the country’s development goals.

The aim of Honda’s visit is to discuss areas where MIGA can help the country mobilize capital for important projects, primarily in infrastructure.

“Malaysia is one of the most dynamic countries in Asia—with ambitious plans to increase standards of living even more in the coming years,” said Honda. “I welcome these discussions, as the country’s solid infrastructure program will continue to be a cornerstone of its strong growth.”
